The Bambu Lab X2D redefines the desktop gantry with its Hybrid Dual-Extrusion system. Unlike standard dual-head printers that add significant weight to the toolhead, the X2D uses a primary Servo-driven Direct Drive nozzle for high-detail printing and a secondary Auxiliary Bowden nozzle for supports and secondary materials.

This configuration allows for zero-waste support removal and instant color switching without the purge times typical of single-nozzle systems. With a 65°C actively heated chamber, it is built to handle industrial materials like PC, Nylon, and Carbon Fiber composites with zero warping.

Smarter supports, easier removal
Print with less hassle using a dedicated support nozzle. The main nozzle builds the model while the secondary nozzle handles supports¹ using a different material—making them easy to peel off cleanly, even on complex overhangs, folds, and internal structures.

Rigid and flexible in one print
Combine PLA and TPU in a single build. Create functional items like bags, grips, and bumpers that are ready to use straight off the print bed.

The X2D uses a Gear-and-Trigger system instead of traditional motor-driven switching. A simple tap activates the mechanism, enabling fast and seamless nozzle changes without adding extra weight.

Efficient cooling for better detail
Dual air intakes rapidly cool freshly extruded filament. This stabilizes each layer—especially for low-temperature materials like PLA—keeping overhangs sharp and bridges clean.

Even heating for stronger prints
With a 300 °C nozzle and a 65 °C actively heated chamber, the X2D supports a wide range of engineering filaments like ABS, ASA, and nylon. Consistent heat distribution ensures strong layer bonding and flat, reliable large prints.

Adaptive calibration for consistent results
Flow Dynamics Calibration³ continuously adjusts to factors like nozzle wear, residue, or filament condition. This ensures consistent extrusion, delivering smooth surfaces and sharp details every time.

Advanced servo system for smoother extrusion
The PMSM servo system⁵ monitors and adjusts extrusion in real time, reducing pressure fluctuations that can cause surface imperfections—resulting in cleaner, more refined prints.

Consistent surface quality
Stable extrusion pressure keeps material flow even, producing smooth and uniform finishes across multiple prints.

Sharper corners and finer details
Active Vibration Compensation reduces ringing and ghosting, ensuring crisp edges even at high printing speeds.
